A group of Yr 8, 10 and 11 Kristin singers volunteered their lunch time today to sing Xmas carols to the elderly residents of Patrick Ferry Home. It was a lovely session and everyone sang Silent Night together!
Our Yr 10 Student Council organised a Middle School can drive for the Salvation Army and the team personally delivered hundreds of cans today.
Yr 12 students Amara and Ella volunteered their time on Sunday afternoon to entertain the children at the Settlers Village Xmas Party. Dressed up and looking very much like Santa's helpers, Amara and Ella enjoyed their time in 'character' and supported a worthwhile event.
Yr 8 students spend their Friday helping Auckland Council with Shakespear Park pest free fence and track projects.

Our Yr 10 International Leadership team sold delicious international cuisine at lunch to raise funds for Youthline - They sold out quickly, raising over $480 for the charity.
Yr 8 students organised a sculpture competition using recyclable materials for the Yr 7 and 8 students, to highlight the issue of recycling.
10AMK & 10MBA spent the day at Beach Haven Primary giving literacy and sports workshops to Year 1 and 2 students, with a great shared lunch for everyone!
Year 10 Base Day for 10MSN and 10VZH was at West Harbour Primary School. An amazing day of workshops and games all organised and carried out by the students. It was a great day and everyone learned a lot.
10JNE & 10JPI spent the day with Glenfield Primary students, organising fun activities and providing lunch for everyone. This is the Yr 10 Base Day finale - putting all those skills and dispositions to good use!
Our amazing Yr 10 Alliance Leadership team delivered a cheque for $2950 to Starship this week, a result of a years worth of dedication to raise funds to support the organisation. A great team effort!
This term the Year 8 students held a Xmas Market to raise funds for Kidney Kids. There were lots of different stalls and lots of help from our Kristin families too.
Our Yr 10 Girls Leadership team put on a delicious breakfast on Friday morning, to raise awareness and funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation. Guest speakers, food, a blind auction and wonderful conversation, made the event a success. Thanks to all that supported this great initiative.
Another waste reduction activity for our Roots and Shoots Waste team, completing another 'mini' audit to see what changes have happened as a result of their hard work!
This week, Yr 12 student Isabella Howarth organised our second ever Blind Awareness Week at Kristin. The week including guest speakers, a braille writer, a debut short documentary and 'selfies' with guide dogs to raise funds for the Blind Foundation. It was a very successful week and great CAS project.
Over 1600 books were donated by Kristin whanau and friends, to Rise Up Academy who are in great need of books for their library space. A great Yr 10 Library Leadership team effort!
